365 Questions--April 3

How important is fame?

Honestly, I don't really care about fame. I'm a pretty lowkey person. I wouldn't necessarily want the fame. I don't like the idea of being under so much scrutiny and not being able to have a normal life. I can't get up and go to the grocery store or to Walmart because I'm famous? I'll pass. Plus the Bible doesn't make it as provocative.

Proverbs 22:1 The Message (MSG)

The Cure Comes Through Discipline

22 A sterling reputation is better than striking it rich;
    a gracious spirit is better than money in the bank.

Being powerful and being able to make a difference is more important to me. I don't need all the extra. It's just too much to and what if the fame is for nothing. A friend from college of mine recently got "famous" because one of her pictures went viral. That's cool and everything. I'm not mad at her, but it's like you famous for a picture not because of something miraculous or wonderful--literally a picture. She's pretty much famous for nothing. I don't want that. I want people to know who I am because of the things that I've accomplished. I don't need to necessarily be famous.

My desire burns inside like a flame
And it can't and it won't be contained.
Cause I gotta be famous
I need to be somebody
