365 Questions--February 3
What is the best compliment you've received?
Probably about a week or 2 ago at work, I was talking to a coworker about just working and school. During the conversation, I mentioned that I would be graduating with my Masters in December. My coworker went on to say that it was awesome that I had accomplished so much in the midst of everything that I had going on. It might not be much of a compliment to you, but it means a lot to me. I don't take much time to celebrate accomplishments. All I know to do is keep going. So, for example, when I graduated from college, I was kind of dismissive about it. I was excited that day, but literally the next day I was up back to working. Sometimes I have such tunnel vision sometimes that I'm actually hurting myself. So when she said that, I said thank as I do anytime somebody says something nice, but I had to take a moment to think about what she really said. I have been through a lot, and it's great that I'll be finished school and I'm still young (no offense to anyone who finished when they were older. It's still accomplishment nonetheless). I had to realize that even though a vast majority of the people around me have completed school, and many have graduated with Masters degrees, a lot of people period don't get as far as I've gotten. By the grace of God, I am where I am. I can't ever get so wrapped in my life that I forget what He's done for me
I want to fly like an eagle, to the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly (oh, yeah)
Fly right into the future
--Seal
