Change My Mind

Proverbs 23:7King James Version (KJV)

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Of course with it still being early in the new year, we are wanting to take on new adventures and ambitions. That's great and everything, but we have to be mindful of our mindset. Some of these goals have been goals for a very long time. They just have not come to pass. It's not always because it's not the season or the time for them to happen. It can be you holding yourself back.

For some of us, life has not always been easy. Things happen we become a little jaded, whether we want to admit that or not. The things we go through start to affect how we think about ourselves and the world in general. Think about it, how many times have you heard someone say "All men are dogs." People don't just start saying that. They've lived it or seen it for themselves. Any time they begin a relationship with with every insecurity and assumption. You can't expect to be in a fulfilling relationship with that kind of mindset.

The Bible says "As a man thinketh so is he."We think we're defeated because of the things we've been through, then we'll continue to be defeated. It is a must that we change our mindset if we want God to do a new thing in our lives. We can't be victorious and we still think we're defeated. Don't put yourself in a box just because of what you think you're supposed to be.

What if Moses decided he was not worthy of being God's mouthpiece. As a matter of fact, when God led him to the burning bush where He gave Moses the specific instructions, Moses pretty much said "Who do you think I am? I'm just a shepherd." If he wouldn't have changed his mind, the Israelites would not have been freed. You never know what changing your mind can do for you as well as others.

My hands are lifted up
My heart is ready to receive
A blessing from you
A blessing from you

Break me
Make me
Shake me
Mold me
My heart is ready to receive
A blessing from you
