Something you're looking forward to
One thing I'm most definitely looking forward to is my church's women's retreat. I completely forgot about this trip when I wrote about my favorite memory from last year. I joined my church in October 2016 and haven't been able to participate in much of anything due to finances, but I made it my goal to go on the women's retreat. Honestly, I'm so glad that I went. I don't bond with very many women. Up until that point, I really didn't speak to much of anyone at my church. I mean I spoke but I didn't have any real relationships with anyone there, but I truly desired to have that because I don't have many friends here. The fact that I got to spend time with them outside of the church made it that much better. We could all let our hair down and be our unfiltered selves. Of course, there was some spiritual things that happened. It really opened my eyes to who I am and to how much I really neglect myself. Women get so tied up in the hustle and bustle of day to day living and never really take a moment for self-care. I know for me personally I have no choice but to just get through the day. I work all day, go to class at night, Bible study on Wednesday, cleaning the church on Fridays, choir practice on Saturday, and I still have to find time to cook, clean, an duo homework. Even though the retreat falls on the weekend before finals, I need that break. The good thing is this year, when the retreat comes, I'll be a couple weeks from graduating.

Count on me through thick and thin
A friendship that will never end
When you are weak I will be strong
Helping you to carry on
Call on me, I will be there
Don't be afraid
Please believe me when I say
Count on me
