Who is a movie character you identify with?
So of course, I had to reference one of the biggest movies of 2017, Girls Trip. One, I absolutely love the movie. All group of girls has somebody like each of the main characters. It's just so relatable, especially in the post college population. If you're still in college, don't worry. Give it about 2 or 3 years, you'll see the characters start to show. Two, it's from a rattler. But honestly, if I identified with any character in any movie, it would be Dina.
I remember being in the theater like "😳😳😳 she's me." I was that girl in my group of friends. I was the adventurous one that was a little uhhhhh reckless. I'm very unfiltered. I'm still that in my group of friends now even though we've grown up. It was crazy because my friends and I did not go see the movie together, but each of them text me and was like "Munch, she's you."
There were 2 scenes in particular where I really identified with her: 1) When they saw Stuart in the hotel with his aunt 2) when she made them pray before going to bed. As extreme as both of those seem, that is me. I am always the first of my friends to jump stupid. Let anybody disrespect my friends while I'm there...it's on and poppin. I am so protective of my friends, and I am just as loyal as Dina's character. In spite of all of my craziness, I am that friend that can still go to God and wants my friends to go to God about everything.
I never said that I was done with my growth
I never said, I never said that I was done doing the most
And I swear all I've ever done was stay honest and keep my promise
