How do you take care of yourself when you are stressed?
Well considering everything I have going on right now,
being stressed is a normal for me. There’s not one day I’m not stressed. Most
of the time when I feel excessively stressed, I sleep. A lot of my stress
happens because I will literally stay up all day and night working on stuff and
I feel that much more stressed
because I haven’t slept. Sometimes I just take a day and lay around and be lazy
just so I can get my energy up to get what I need to get done.
If I start to feel overwhelmed, I'll sit in silence and just talk to God. Honestly, you should always talk to God when you're stressed, and you don't have to just talk to Him when you're stressed. Sometimes, I'll just cut all of my music completely off and just talk. Sometimes that's all I need. Talking it out always makes me feel better about what's happening.
Another thing I do is eat. A lot. I eat a lot anyway,
but when I’m stressed it’s more sweets. I could literally go through a whole
pan of brownies in a day if I’m stressed. With a pint of Talenti Cookie Dough
or Ben and Jerry’s American Dream Cone?!? Life. That's not taking care of myself per say, but that's how I deal with stress from time to time.
