Do you ever accomplish things to prove yourself to other

Hmmmm.......I would have to say yes. I do things to to prove to myself that I can do it, but also to prove to others that I can do it. As I've mentioned time and time again I am my own worst enemy sometimes. I get really down on myself, but for some reason I push through it and get whatever needs to be done done. I think it's because I wouldn't ever let myself live down the fact that I gave up on something. I hate failing. I know failure is a part of life, but it's not a good feeling. I try to avoid it at all cost. It's always great to see something you put your mind come to life. Like this blog, for example. I kept saying "no I can't do this," but yet here I am.

Speaking of here I am, there are a lot of people who counted me out who never thought I would get as far as I've gotten. No offense to anybody, but I had hood rat tendencies. I was....a little troubled. I was smart, but I got in a lot of trouble. So now that I'm older, I make it a goal to prove to them, "Yes, I was that person and yes I did those things, but I also accomplished these other things as well."

Overall, I think it's healthy to challenge yourself to accomplish things regardless of the motivation.

And if I gotta crawl I'm a make to the end though

Headed for the sky I'm on my way
