Trusting the Process

Isaiah 43:2New International Version (NIV)

When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.

Often times, we say we trust God, but when things get a little shaky, we're ready to jump ship. But we cannot continue only trusting him when it is convenient.There are so many cliche scriptures that people repeat over and over, like "God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think." We all know that verse just like pretty much all of us know "He's Able." But it's almost like we forget that when things get a little sticky for us. We suddenly assume that God will not come through for because people haven't.
God isn't that old friend that let you down time after time. Even when you do Him wrong and turn your back on Him, He's still there. He'll never leave you nor forsake you. How can you doubt someone that loyal?
Sometimes God allows you to go through things to equip you. Think about it. If you did not go through anything an life always went the way you wanted, would you still be the person you are today? Probably not. It's like rich kids who never worked for anything; they don't truly understand the value of money. But working for it, makes them more appreciative.
Sometimes God prolongs the process to build patience in you. Over the years, people are become microwave-y. I know that doesn't make sense and that's not a word, but you know what I mean. People want what they want now. They don't want to wait. But be clear, getting the result of the process in a week or a year does not make it any less of a blessing. I don't want to keep saying them like I'm not included in the "them." I'm just like everybody else. I want to be successful already. I feel like I've gone through enough and I've had enough trials and tribulations. But I have to remind myself just like I'm remind y'all: Just be patient. It's coming, and it will be well worth the wait.

I'm expecting my miracle
Any day now
Any day now
I'm expecting my miracle
Any day now
Any day now
I shall have what I need
Any day now
Any day now
By Faith, it's coming to me
Any day now
Any day now
