Move Mountains

Matthew 17:20The Message (MSG)

20 “Because you’re not yet taking God seriously,” said Jesus. “The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle.”

Wow. The first official post of Young Saved and Free....I can't believe I'm finally here. Can I just take a moment to just let y'all know this was NOT the easiest thing for me to do. I was scared out of my mind. I'm not gonna lie. ANYWAY

As you can see, today's verse comes from Matthew 17:20. The reason I chose this particular verse is because this is literally what it took for me to start the blog. I had been talking about starting Young, Saved, and Free as a Youtube channel...Well I couldn't afford the camera I wanted, but something (well someone, ya know, God) was pressing me to start this blog, so here we are. What am I really saying here?? A lot of times, we get in our own way. We become our own mountain. Don't get it just yet?

Let's take a look at Luke 5:1-5
1-3 Once when he was standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret, the crowd was pushing in on him to better hear the Word of God. He noticed two boats tied up. The fishermen had just left them and were out scrubbing their nets. He climbed into the boat that was Simon’s and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Sitting there, using the boat for a pulpit, he taught the crowd.
When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.”

5-7 Simon said, “Master, we’ve been fishing hard all night and haven’t caught even a minnow. But if you say so, I’ll let out the nets.” It was no sooner said than done—a huge haul of fish, straining the nets past capacity. They waved to their partners in the other boat to come help them. They filled both boats, nearly swamping them with the catch.
What really happened here?? Simon (later know as Peter) was tired of waiting for things to get better. It just looked like it was never gonna work out for him. Jesus told him to try one more time. We all know on the inside Peter was like "Mannnnnnn I ain't finna (yes finna. Fight me lol) keep putting this net out there. I know he see ain't nothing happening." But he casted his net out anyway. That action alone spoke to his mountain of doubt. Because he had faith, that mountain had to move. Why?? Because God will make room for your gifts (Proverbs 18:16)
What does that mean for you?? Well of course, we do not have perfect faith in every area of our lives, but having the tiniest bit of faith will outweigh every doubt, fear, inadequacy whatever it is that is stopping you from moving forward. Don't worry about the obstacles that may come along the way because all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord (Romans 8:28).

"I feel seasons everywhere
And I feel blessings in the air
Those seeds that you've sown
You're gonna come into your own seasons
Walk into your season"
