365 Questions--January 7

What is your best memory of last year?

Considering I don't have a lot of free time, I don't take the free moments for granted. One of the most memorable moments for 2017 was my baby sister's graduation. For those of you who don't know, I have a baby sister who goes to Johnson and Wales in Charlotte. She graduated with her Associates back in May. First of all, I've always been super proud of my sister. She's set goals for herself and has met every single one of them. This particular graduation I was really excited because my cousins were coming. Just a tad bit about my family on my mom's side--it's always a situation when we get together. Trust and believe memories will be made. That graduation weekend was nothing short of that. Of course, we showed out at her graduation, but that night? Man. The plan was to go out and bar hop, but that didn't happen. We actually were supposed to meet up with my cousin on my dad's side, but that didn't happen either. We ended up going to Dave and Busters, mostly because all of us are big kids at heart. We literally stayed there until after it was closed playing. Anyway, we realized we (mostly me) were hungry so we decided to go to Midnight Diner. Anybody who ever visits Charlotte, YOU HAVE TO go to Midnight Diner. Like it's a must. Just don't go at 2 in the morning like we did because the after club wait is real ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ And because of that wait, my sister suggested we go to Red Eye, which is the Midnight Diner's sister restaurant. So we're like "okay. cool." My sister also suggested that we walk because it was "right around the corner." Twenty-five minutes later, we're still walking๐Ÿ˜‘. However the food was well worth the wait. It was a somewhat simple night, but it was nice to get a break from life for a just a moment with some of my favorite people.

"It's Friday night and the weekend's here
I need to unwind, where's the party, Mr. D.J.
I am ready to call my friends
So we could all get down
Where's the party, hey Mr. D.J."
