365 Questions--January 18
What are your personal gifts
This is kind of a loaded question to me. I am talented in the artistic sense. I can dance. I'm trained in almost every style, including liturgical, except ballroom and tap. I've been stepping since I was about 4 or 5. I can sing a little bit, and I've been playing the piano since I was 8 years old. I'm not the best at any of those thing, but I have a very creative mind. I can hear a song and come up with choreography almost immediately. When I used to sing on the praise team, I could make medleys of songs through worship. I have very sensitive ear for music. I may not be the best singer, but I know what I hear. To be frank, I am naturally talented. It doesn't take much for me to catch on to anything art-based. It comes very quickly and almost second nature to me.
The reason this is a little bit of a loaded question is because spiritual gifts are one of the many things that popped in my head. I know that I definitely have the gift of discernment. I have always had very strong intuition, even as a child. I could tell if someone had ill motives just from having 1 conversation with them. It doesn't take a lot. Funny thing, when I decided to write about this, I took a spiritual gifts test on two different sites. One 1 site, my top 5 were: discernment, pastor/shepherd, word of knowledge, exhortation, and helps. On the other, the top 5 are: discernment, wisdom, faith, mercy, and knowledge. Discernment and knowledge were the ones in common. I'm not a Bible expert, but I know scripture. I can hear something once or twice and repeat it back. That's not just with the Bible. Just in general, I can recall something very quickly. There are other things that I do think God uses to tell me things, like my dreams. I have very vivid dreams about people, and sometimes it's with people I don't really know. It's almost like I'm having a nightmare. Every time I close my eyes that night, I'll see the same thing over and over until I speak to that person again. What are your gifts?
But the gift God gave to you, give it back to Him
When He sees it operating, it’s a compliment to Him
But the gift God gave to you, give it back to Him
For the gift it will make room, position, for great men to see you
When He sees it operating, it’s a compliment to Him
But the gift God gave to you, give it back to Him
For the gift it will make room, position, for great men to see you
