365 Questions--January 1

What is your number 1 goal this year?

There are soooooo many things that I would like to have done by the end of 2018. It's not all career related. There are things I want to reach business wise, family wise, in my personal life...I could go on and on about the things that I would like to change in 2018. But overall, I can honestly say the one thing that has to change is self-doubt and fear. Those two things have GOT TO GO. In the place that I'm in currently, I mean just the head space I'm in right now....I recognize that I am in a transitionary period (I'll talk about it in more detail later). I'm working a dead end job, but I'm also in grad school. I'll be graduating in December with my Masters. With a new degree comes (PRAYERFULLY) new opportunities because I literally can't take my current job anymore. I hate going to work. Like if there was a step past hate that's how I would feel about my job. Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful that I have a job, but I'm just tired. I've been applying for positions for almost 2 years and haven't gotten any step closer. It's just extremely frustrating. I've kinda gotten to the point where I just want to give up because I don't feel like anything I do is enough. That statement applies to EVERY area of my life. So with that being said, I'm going to work my hardest to get past those thoughts of self-doubt. For me, self-doubt turns into me beating myself over the head with all the times that I was not good enough. It goes 0 to 100 reaaaaaaal quick, and it's time to move on from that. There's no way I can move forward if I'm looking back.

Strength, courage, and wisdom
Inside of me"
