365 Questions--August 10
What makes YOU unique?
I would have to say the way I think about things makes me very different. I don’t want to sound cocky, but the things that I say seem to shock people because it’s not something they would expect someone my age to say. I can easily and quite often do sit in rooms with people 10+ years older than me and be completely comfortable. I don’t feel like I wouldn’t understand what they were saying or that I couldn’t relate. I guess it’s because I’ve always hung around my older cousins. They’re more like my siblings. Of the girls, the youngest one is 10 years older than me. There’s a lot that I understand that they might not because I’m young, but at the same time I use a little bit more wisdom like someone older.
I’m the same way when it comes to religious thinking. I understand the Bible, and I believe in God. However, I also know how some leaders in the church can be when it comes to mindset of Christians. Some people have a very crooked or selective interpretation of the Bible. Because of my experience with people like that, I have a desire to cater to those who have been negatively affected by those people.
I guess what I’m trying to say is I understand all angles even if I don’t agree with it.
