A song that reminds you of your first love
Surprisingly, I have a gospel and secular song for this one too.
For the gospel song, I would have to choose "I Give Myself Away," by William McDowell. The reason I picked this song kinda makes me laugh a little. It was the first song I had ever really opened my mouth and sang. I was 18 years old. Up until that point in my life, I would just sing along to music, but I never was one to sing. This particular day, our praise team needed some help so I got volunteered to sing. I still have no idea how they decided I would be a good choice, but that's what started me singing. I'll never forget that day. I got up with the praise team, and my ex didn't notice. He was sitting in the sound booth, and then I started singing and he looked up like 😯. He had no idea. To be honest, I had no idea what was going to come out my mouth.
As far as the secular songs go, I would have to pick "Superhuman" by Chris Brown and Keri Hilson. This was his ring tone for the longest. It's crazy I can remember that little Nokia phone I had with the mp3 player on the side. It was so ugly, but I can remember sleeping with that phone right next to my face and he would call me all hours of the night, especially when him and my aunt would get out of church. Lord, it would be like 1 in the morning. Of course, I was sleeping and all of a sudden I see a light pop on and I would hear "change my whole liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife"
