A song that reminds you of one or both of your parents

Oh this is easy. When I think of my mom, I think of "There's a Leak in This Old Building" by Lashaun Pace. I had to be like 11 or 12 years old. I was at my aunt's house, and I was helping my cousin Sheika make something. I can't remember what exactly we were cooking. It doesn't matter here or there. Anyway, my mom walks in being nosey trying to see what's going on in the kitchen. She never came near us. She was just kinda looking around. I don't think she even said anything. All of a sudden, she attempts to do the intro to the song. It was supposed to be "theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeee" with a bunch of fancy riffs and runs. My mom sounded more like

If you have never heard that song, the beginning of the song is so iconic. It's one of those things that you know exactly what you're listening to as soon as it comes on. When I tell y'all I have not been able to listen to that song with a straight face since then.

Now, when I think of my dad......this is going to be really awkward but I think of "Hotline" by Ciara. If you're not familiar with the song, it's track 4 on Ciara's first album (classic album, by the way). My daddy used to Bankhead bounce so hard to this song. Like as soon as the beat dropped, he was gone. I can literally remember sitting in the back of his truck and the bass from the song would make the back windshield rattle against my headrest. Every time I hear that song, I do a Bankhead bounce just for him 😂😂😂
