A song that reminds you of your most recent ex-boyfriend
I would have to say "Satellites" by Kevin Gates. This is for the real Kevin Gates fans, before he got mainstream. If you didn't know, Gates is from Louisiana. My ex went to Southern University in Baton Rouge. Around the time this song came out, I went to visit him in BR so that I could bring him back home. When I tell y'all I couldn't get away from this song....OMG 😖. If I had to hear about Michael Jackson being reincarnated one more time. LORD. Don't get me wrong, I love Gates, but when that's all you're hearing for days on end. Literally, I would wake up and he was laying next to me playing the song on his phone. We would get in the car, and he was playing the song in the car. It was his finals week, and he was playing the whole mixtape while he was studying. Let's just say I was BIG mad about that song 😅
As far as the gospel song, that came along in the latter part of our relationship. I prayed and prayed and prayed that he would seek a relationship with God. By this time, I was heavy in church. I remember he was so excited to tell me about how he had been reading his bible, and he listened to "You are God Alone" by Marvin Sapp. So when I think of him, that's what I think of
