A song that you love but rarely listen to
I would have to throw this back just a little bit and say “Someone to Call My Lover (remix)” by none other than Ms. Janet Jackson. I love this song so much, but I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve listened to that song in the last probably 3 years or so. For some reason, within in the last couple of weeks, that song has been stuck in my head nonstop. It might be because it’s summer. That song screams summertime to me.
As far as the gospel side, I would have to say “Do it Again” by Travis Greene and Kierra Sheard on the Elevation Collective album. That song is so beautiful. First of all, I love Travis Greene. Him and Jonathan McReynolds are similar in the type of sound they bring to gospel. It’s almost like a country or folk sound. It’s definitely not your traditional horns, organs, drums, and tambourine sound. Y’all already know how I feel about Kierra. That’s my sister in my head. She brings that traditional sound at the end of the song.
