A song that made you cry

"I Wish You Were Here" by Jamie Foxx gets me every single time. If you've never heard this song, of course I'll leave a video down below. Pretty much, this song is about Jamie Foxx's grandmother who raised him. He was just saying he misses her and wishes she was still here to say everything that he's done to make her proud. I mean, yes, a lot of artists have songs about death. I guess the reason this particular song makes me cry is because the day I heard it, it was 3 years to the day that my godfather had been dead. Right around this, I also found out that my grandfather had cancer. I was getting ready to start my senior year in high school, but in that little bit of time that he had been gone I had turned my entire life around because that's what he told me to do. Every time I hear that song, even now I break down. To be honest, when I put the video in this post I didn't even listen to the song because I knew I was gonna be a mess. I do so much to make them proud. I am the first of my grandfather's lineage to go straight through college without having to drop out. I am the first of his grandchildren to get my Masters. Well I'll be getting it. My sister, my cousins, and my aunts all have established careers in their field. My cousin is a RN. My other cousin is working with politicians to build a youth program in St. Pete. My other cousin, my sister,  and my aunt are chefs. I just want to make sure that when my granddaddy looks at my family, he'll be proud.
